![]() ![]() And the Horses people seem to understand the importance of preserving this local hang. ![]() For several decades before The Pikey, the space was called Ye Coach & Horses. It was a neighborhood and industry mainstay-the kind of place where you’d wander in for a drink and end up staying for dinner. Before Horses, this space was a British pub called The Pikey. And for romance.īut the horses do serve a purpose. If you’re on a date, you could say something like, “What’s with all the horses?” and then proceed to count them for sport. The butter pad comes shaped like a horse, and painted, ethereal horses gallop on the walls and in the skylight. There is a horse etched into the glassware, and onto your coaster. You’ll notice horses everywhere, if you look closely, or if you’re a horse girl. Of all of these very-Hollywood spots, Horses has the most edge across the board. If we rode motorcycles, we’d ride one here and make a grand entrance with windswept hair and soft leather boots. It’s sorta French like Gigi’s, but with less reliance on butter and more on precious vegetables. ![]() Horses blasts ’80s music and has red booths like Jones, but you could successfully celebrate a big anniversary here without being accused of last-minute planning. It takes some foresight to get a reservation, but there’s no swimming pool or judgy host like you’ll find at Sunset Tower. But Horses has a special niche amongst its Hollywood peers. The manager was very nice/apologetic but damage was done.Like some other restaurants nearby that make great martinis, Horses is a place where you might feel compelled to use Hollywood as an adjective. We had already asked to speak to the manager and wanted to leave. thong bikini with your T&A spilling out, overly injected everything, tryin’ to be seen/noticed, and i swear our service suffered b/c of it! We waited for a good hour for our food while watching all the other patrons around us get their food -even those seated after us! When we finally to flagged down our waitress to ask about our order she said in a semi-snippy, condescending tone “ugh sorry the kitchen is lbacked up right now”, im all “tha F?” How is it that everyone else got their food then?! We then magically got our entrees like a minute later, ( btw: omelettes were dry and just kind of thrown together). Lowlights: first off as cute as my bff and i are, we were not dressed in the apparent uniformįor a warm spring Saturday brunch highlight room/dream hotel pool area. Highlights at the highlight room: gorgeous venue/view that’s about it.
